When most people see or hear the phrase "Acne Cosmetica", even those who suffer from it usually don't know what it means. Acne Cosmetica is simply the type of acne that is caused by the use of cosmetic products, i.e. makeup. The most common type of acne is called "Acne Vulgaris". This kind of acne is a result of hair follicles with certain toxic glands latched on them. These glands excrete what is called sebum. Outbreaks depend on the changes that these follicles make relation the amount of sebum that is being produced by them. So acne cosmetica is indeed a different type than acne vulagaris.

There are a lot of different kinds of make up and cosmetic products on the market, and they are all made with different kinds of ingredients. Some are more all-natural and other contain certain synthetic chemicals. The ones that are made with these kinds of chemicals are what causes your skin to break out.

You can tell whether or not you have acne cosmetica by simply noting whether or not your acne breakouts starting before or after you began using your cosmetics. Once you establish this timeline, you will know what type you have, or at least rule out one type. Acne cosmetica will appear on the skin as tiny bumps that are all compacted into a group on your chin or forehead. With acne cosmetica, there isn't a chance of them developing into something more serious, like cysts or nodules.

To treat acne cosmetica, the first thing you will obviously want to do is to stop using the cosmetics that are causing your breakouts. When you look for acne treatment products, make sure on the label it says it has "AHA" in it. What it will do is slowly take that layer of skin from the effected are and you will be all cured.

Despite the great things people say about some acne products, I have found that most acne treatments simply did not work for me.

But after years of struggling to get rid of my acne, I finally found something that was able to almost completely cure my acne in less than a week.
